Greetings from Northern California! Jack and I have been enjoying a lovely retirement (and as you can see, I'm looking younger already!)

Our retirement would probably not have been possible if it weren't for the things that our son Jeff has done for the company we founded -- THE LAST WORD. I'd like to take a moment or two to tell you about Jeff's accomplishments at TLW.

Jeff's been writing our courseware since the early 90's. When he joined the organization, this was his first project, and he's been working on it ever since. When we decided to create interactive training, Jeff convinced us he was the man for the job. And was he ever! Jeff has designed, written and programmed each CD -- some 18 editions of the training since the first release in 1995. Also, the look of TLW has always been produced by Jeff. From writing courses to designing and programming CDs, creating advertising, our first website, you name it -- Jeff has been at the heart of it all.

Jeff was always more than just an employee. He was an integral part of the company, and always had a share in decisions of direction and policy. When we first retired two years ago, Jeff was unable to take over as we'd hoped -- but now things have changed, and we've asked him to run the company from here on out.

We're anticipating great things from Jeff. You've seen the high quality of the work he's produced, so you know he is (like his father) a real perfectionist. We think you'll be pleased at the energy and commitment Jeff brings to The Last Word.

Gotta run -- tee time's at two! :)
